31 - Honey Mustard Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 18 chicken wings
  • 100g (3½oz) runny honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 120ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Lemon wedges to serve

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (gas mark 6). Line a roasting tray with non stick baking paper and place the wings on top. Sprinkle with the salt and then roast them, turning occasionally for about 25 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, warm the honey, mustard lemon juice and garlic in a medium saucepan over a low heat until combined, whisking to amalgamate the mustard.
  3. Remove the wings from the oven and brush over the honey mixture, making sure they are well coated. Return to the oven and cook for another 20 minutes until sticky and golden. Sprinkle with sesame seeds about 5 minutes before they are ready.
